former minister and senior SAD leader Bikram Singh Majithia today said there was a quid pro quo arrangement behind the move. He said a show-cause notice had been issued against the new SIT head IG MS Chhina for the breach of security of the Prime Minister in Punjab in the run-up to the 2022 Assembly elections.
Asserting that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had appointed IG Chhina as the new SIT head with the purpose of presenting a manipulated charge-sheet in the false NDPS Act registered against him by the previous Congress government, Majithia said, “The government feels the IG will submit a challan as per the government wishes because he is already being probed for the security breach during the Prime Minister’s visit and an adverse report will invite major punishment.

ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਸੁਰਖੀਆਂ ’ਚ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਸਿਹਤ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਇਸ ਵਾਰ ਫਿਰ ਕੁੰਭਕਰਨੀ ਨੀਂਦ ਸੁੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਡੇਂਗੂ ਦੇ ਕਹਿਰ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਅੰਦਰ ਤਰਥੱਲੀ ਮਚਾਈ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ। ਲੰਘੇ ਕੱਲ ਅਤੇ ਅੱਜ ਵੀ ਇਕ ਦਰਜਨ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਡੇਂਗੂ ਦੇ ਕੇਸ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆਏ ਹਨ। ਹੁਣ ਤੱਕ 290 ਕੇਸ ਡੇਂਗੂ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਹਨ। ਇਹ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਅੰਕੜੇ ਹਨ, ਜਦੋਂ ਕਿ ਪ੍ਰਾਈਵੇਟ ਅੰਕੜੇ ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਕਿਤੇ ਵਧ ਹਨ।

ਦੱਸ ਦਈਏ ਕਿ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦਾ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਜਰਨਲ ਇਜਲਾਸ 3 ਨਵੰਬਰ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਦਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ, ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਮੀਤ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ, ਜੂਨੀਅਰ ਮੀਤ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ, ਜਨਰਲ ਸਕੱਤਰ ਤੇ 11 ਅੰਤਰਿੰਗ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਵੀ ਚੋਣ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ।
