An interesting experiment is currently going on in the Modi government. According to inside sources, all Union Ministers have been asked to familiarize themselves with the functioning, historical projects and achievements of any ministry other than their own. 

The resolution is believed to have come from the Prime Minister's Office and its purpose is to ensure that the knowledge of ministers is not restricted to any particular area. Instead they should review the functioning of the entire government and their success stories. It is argued that this will also help the Ministers in answering questions from the media and the public.
