Kharge claimed that the agency is meant to investigate criminal cases and it cannot fix accountability for technical, institutional and political failure in such a case.
Kharge said in the letter that the train accident that happened in Balasore, Odisha is the worst accident in Indian history, which has shocked the entire country. Rail is the most reliable and cheapest mode of transport for people. He alleged that many such decisions of the government have been taken in the meantime, due to which the train journey has become unsafe and the problems of the public have increased. The same is the case with higher posts, in the recruitment of which the Prime Minister's Office and the Cabinet Committee play a role.
