The family of a woman who was shot and killed for drinking alcohol on the banks of the reservoir of Gurdwara Sri Dukhniwaran Sahib has come forward. Harmel Singh, the brother of the deceased, has identified her. He told the police that the real name of the woman is Kulwinder Kaur who is the daughter of Jagroop Singh resident of Asmanpur district Patiala. According to the police, her brother said that Kulwinder Kaur was married to a man from Munshiwala area of Sangrur, from whom she had divorced a few years ago.
