Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge on Monday appealed to the government to thwart any attempt to fix responsibility for the Odisha train accident and to divert attention, saying that all aspects of the accident should be investigated and the truth should be brought out. Chhattisgarh will be the first such state in the country, where idols of Lord Ram will be installed. It has already started from Chandkhuri. 25-25 feet high idols of Lord Rama have been installed here. Now the government is preparing to start the Ram Vanagaman Path. 25 feet high idols of Lord Ram will be installed at 8 places. In the remaining 5 places, the target of installation of idols has been set by June 2023.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday expressed grief over the death of people in a road accident in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday and announced compensation for the families of the deceased. 10 pilgrims were killed and 66 others injured after a bus bound for Vaishno Devi fell into a gorge after hitting the 'railing' of a bridge in Jammu district on Tuesday. The bus was going from Amritsar to Kattra when the accident took place in Jhajjar Kotli area between 6.30 am and 7 am on the Jammu-Srinagar national highway.
