ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੇ ਐਸ ਐਸ ਪੀ ਵਰੁਣ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਦੂਖ ਨਿਵਾਰਨ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵਿਚ ਸ਼ਰਾਬ ਪੀਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਔਰਤ ਨਸ਼ੇੜੀ ਸੀ ਜਿਸਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਰਾਬ ਪੀਣ ਦੀ ਲੱਤ ਲੱਗੀ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ ਤੇ ਇਸਦਾ ਇਕ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਛੁਡਾਊ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਵਿਚ ਇਲਾਜ ਵੀ ਚਲ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ। ਇਕ ਪ੍ਰੈਸ ਕਾਨਫਰੰਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਬੋਧਨ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਐਸ ਐਸ ਪੀ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਔਰਤ ਬੀਤੇ ਕੱਲ੍ਹ ਜ਼ੀਰਕਪੁਰ ਤੋਂ ਬੱਸ ਵਿਚ ਬੈਠ ਕੇ ਇਥੇ ਪਹੁੰਚੀ ਸੀ ਤੇ ਇਹ ਸ਼ਰਾਬ ਦਾ ਪਊਆ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਪਹੁੰਚੀ ਸੀ । ਇਥੇ ਸੰਗਤਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਰਾਬ ਪੀਣ ਤੋਂ ਰੋਕਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਇਸਨੇ ਉਲਟਾ ਉਹਨਾਂ ’ਤੇ ਹਮਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ।
